citAEOtion is citation infrastructure for the AI answer era - built by SEO operators who got tired of guessing.
Why it exists
Every other "AI visibility" tool asks you to pick the prompts you want to rank for, then reports a score on prompts you made up. citAEOtion does the opposite. It reads the real crawler traffic already hitting your site and shows you which AI bots are actually reading you, what they read, and how often.
The difference is simple: they track prompts you invented. We track the bots that showed up. Real visits, real pages, real data.
What the data looks like
One tracked site - a Brooklyn real estate site on our network - logged 13,735 AI crawler visits from 24 distinct crawlers in 60 days. Not just GPTBot and ClaudeBot: Amazonbot, PerplexityBot, Applebot, Meta, Google's Gemini crawler, DeepSeek, ByteDance, Cohere, Common Crawl. Classified by what they do: training, search indexing, or live assistant fetches.
That last category is the one that matters. ChatGPT pulled pages from that site 489 times in 60 days - live, mid-conversation, while a real person asked a question. That is a citation happening in real time, and citAEOtion is the only place you can watch it.
