Short version: citAEOtion watches the bots that crawl your website. It does not track your visitors, build advertising profiles, or sell data to anyone. We are not the ones to worry about.
What citAEOtion actually collects
citAEOtion reads your server traffic to identify automated crawlers - search bots, AI training bots, AI assistants, and scrapers. For each crawler visit we record technical details like the user agent, the page requested, the time, the HTTP status, and the crawler's category. That is data about machines hitting your site, not data about people.
What we do not do
- We do not track, fingerprint, or profile your human visitors.
- We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data to third parties.
- We do not need names, emails, or personal details of your visitors to do our job, because our job is watching bots.
Account information
To run your account we store what you would expect: your name, email, billing details handled by our payment processor, and the list of sites you have connected. Payment card data is processed by Stripe and never touches our servers.
Your data is yours
The crawler data we collect for your sites belongs to you. You can export it or ask us to delete it. If you cancel, your data is retained for a short window in case you reactivate, then removed.
Cookies
The citAEOtion app uses only the cookies required to keep you logged in and run the dashboard. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
